Katie O’Meara is a senior faculty member in the department of Architectural Design at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and an adjunct member of the faculty of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Johns Hopkins University. A registered architect with a background in landscape architecture and geography, O’Meara practices landscape urbanism at the intersection of social justice and climate change. O’Meara has been exploring social and spatial patterns through observation and mapping tools that reveal hidden relationships, almost like having X-Ray vision. She is expanding her workflows on patterns of urban segregation and poverty to look at cultural landscapes and natural systems in new ways. OPEN TO ALL. LUNCH PROVIDED.
