One Word Sawalmem gives us a rare look into the life of local Native wisdom keepers – people who hold humanity’s most intimate knowledge about how to live in balance with the Earth and how to thrive with the natural world with respect and reciprocity. The film’s two directors, Michael “Pom” Preston of the Winnemem Wintu tribe of Mt. Shasta and Natasha Deganello Giraudie, will join virtually from California. This event was organized in collaboration with the Office of Graduate Studies, 新沙巴体育投注_足球比分直播-平台*网址’s MFA Filmmaking and the inaugural Community Arts Fellow MFA Mama Rashida Forman-Bey (Community Arts, MFA ‘22).
